About

A blog about Behaviour, a festival of essential live performance from international and local artists curated by the Arches, a dynamic, forward-thinking arts venue in Glasgow, UK.

This year’s festival features the most exciting theatre companies and artists from across the globe as well as many from Scotland itself.

This blog was created from a desire to document not just the work which happens as part of the festival, but the artists’ responses to their work: their reasons for making it, how their ideas have changed through time, and what they are working towards after the festival ends; a kind of diary of what’s going on behind the performances.

Seven local artists feature as part of this year’s festival, voices which you can hear on this blog. They are: Rob Drummond, Nic Green, Kieran Hurley, Gary McNair, Claire Cunningham, Amanda Monfrooe and Peter McMaster.

Several international names also feature: Taylor Mac, Peggy Shaw, Efterklang, Mammalian Diving Reflex and #TORYCORE.

Immerse yourself in the full programme on the Arches website.

We hope to see you there.
